Jamy Ian Swiss offers a variety of programs to fit the needs of your event. All can be customized and adapted to your specific requirements.

Stage & Platform Performances

These are shows for banquets, meetings and any event requiring a feature entertainment on stage to climax the evening. The impact is maximal while technical demands are minimal.

The Shattering Illusions show is a program of primarily comedy and sleight-of-hand magic, with plenty of audience participation. This is a fun and theatrical program with universal appeal for any audience -- an evening of laughs and gasps!

The Honest Liar show also incorporates plenty of audience participation and laughter, but it is a more ambitious and sophisticated program. The themes are a bit more thought-provoking, and the type of material performed more deeply mysterious. This show addresses a number of compelling and unusual subjects -- deception, cheating, gambling, the paranormal and more -- and while much of the material is somewhat similar to "mentalism" and mind-reading, it is presented in a very different and extremely original context. This is not a "magic" show or a "mentalism act." There is nothing else quite like it being performed anywhere else in the world today. (Suitable for large audiences.)

Magical Metaphors utilize magic to illustrate motivational, marketing, and/or management messages. Does your organization need a "jolt" to re-activate team spirit? Get them started in a fresh new direction! Educate and energize your organization with Magical Metaphors.

Trade Show Magic

In the hands of a master marketer magician, magic can become a powerful sales tool. On the trade show floor, few feature attractions can match the effectiveness of magic in attracting and holding a crowd while communicating your marketing messages. Consider Close-Up Magic running continually at a pedestal display right on the aisle, or regularly scheduled platform-type shows within the exhibit space. Close-Up magic also makes an extremely effective addition to your hospitality suite, providing personalized entertainment to distinguish your suite from the countless other lackluster sales traps.

Close-Up Magic

Close-Up Magic is performed at intimate quarters, for just a few people at a time. Miracles happen right in your own hands -- it's magic "in your face!"

Strolling Magic. This is magic that moves in and around and throughout your event, as Jamy mixes, meets and greets your guests, making new connections and encouraging interactions among your arriving attendees. Think of it as a magical seasoning to help flavor the evening and give it a truly magical start.

Magic on the Spot. Leaving the decision as to when and where to be entertained up to your guests, continuous close-up magic performed at one or more stationary locations during cocktail or buffet periods allows small crowds to build spontaneously and lends even greater and more lasting impact. And for an unforgettable hospitality suite, nothing helps the mix and mingle like this kind of magic.

Close-Up in Concert. For intimate groups in a more formal setting, the best choice is always concert-style close-up magic - as you might have seen it see it in Jamy's show at New York City's famed Rainbow Room, atop Rockefeller Center, or at the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood, where Jamy has appeared many times. For an audience that can be seated throughout the show, in view of a stage that is little more than a bridge table, this is a show with impact that will last a lifetime.

Demos & Exposes

Street Scams Secrets. A lecture and demonstration about the notorious "short con" known as Three Card Monte, along with related scams such as the Shell Game. The con man has used these games for centuries, but they are still effective today in scamming victims out of their money. Why do they work? Well, sleight of hand is only a small part of the secret – the real secrets have to do with psychology and a carefully constructed, almost theatrical production, with many players, most of whose roles are invisible to the victim. Jamy has appeared on countless television shows to discuss these ancient yet still contemporary con games, including CBS 48 Hours; he has appeared on behalf of the Times Square Business Investment District as part of their effort to clear the games out of Times Square; and he has lectured for police organizations (such as Professionals Against Confidence Crime) as well as those (like the elderly) who wish to arm themselves with information as protection against becoming victims. An informative as well as entertaining presentation!

Don't Bet On It! Anyone who enjoys card games and gambling will be fascinated by this authentic demonstration and expose of card cheating techniques presented by a master of the card table. Everything you've heard about -- Stacking the Deck, Second Dealing, Bottom Dealing -- and plenty you've never heard of before, all demonstrated in a captivating and fast-paced presentation right before your eyes. Jamy Ian Swiss has baffled the best of the experts at international gaming firms, gaming expositions, and casino authorities -- and you too will be astonished when you witness this up-close demonstration of forbidden sleights and top secret gambling skills.

The Illusion of Psychic Powers. A longtime student of both the psychology of deception and the history and science of the paranormal, in this remarkable lecture/demonstration Swiss defines the four kinds of paranormal events - telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance and psychokinesis - declares them to be non-existent, and then proceeds to demonstrate all of them and more, thereby proving that even the most intelligent and wary of audiences can be fooled by a determined charlatan. A stunning, informative and entertaining lesson in critical thinking for corporate audiences, as well as a well-received favorite of scientific and academic audiences.
